Long Island Furs Community Rules

General Rules

  1. Be chill, and act with maturity. Give basic respect towards everyone in chat. All in all – don’t be a dick. There is a zero-tolerance policy on bigotry, transphobia, and discrimination based on gender of any kind.
  2. Respect a person’s boundaries. No means no.
  3. Personal disputes should be kept to DMs. Do not air out private drama in public chat.
  4. Do NOT post private conversations in public chats unless there is consent from all parties involved.
  5. Do not post illegal content.
  6. Mod rulings are final. If you disagree, reach out to a mod to appeal.
  7. Arguing with or ignoring mod directions, whether issued to you privately or in public chat may result in being muted or removed from the group for any amount of time.
  8. Access to these chats is granted at moderator discretion.
  9. ADVERTISING/PROMOTION: Please check with chat moderators before posting links to any advertisements, raffles, GoFundMe, other fundraisers, or any other type of promotion. These will be evaluated and allowed or disallowed on a case by case basis.

SFW-Specific Rules

  1. Safe for Work means if you wouldn’t talk about it at work, don’t bring it up here.
  2. No 18+ content allowed. Light innuendo or humor is fine. Overtly sexual material is not. Fetish content is not allowed.
  3. Don’t flirt excessively or behave in a manner that makes others uncomfortable.
  4. If in doubt, do NOT post it here and use the NSFW group instead.

NSFW-Specific Rules

  1. Not Safe for Work means the kind of content you’d typically view in private. We aim to be a loosely moderated space to share images, ideas, or desires too spicy for general conversation.
  2. This is NOT a space to start fights, share shock content, or otherwise be ‘edgy’, an ‘internet tough guy’, or simply, a jerk. Maturity is required to remain here.
  3. This chat is NOT limited to just porn. Adult topics of any type are welcome here.
  4. This is NOT a space for politics. Light discussion of current events is fine; use the LI Furs Politics Thunderdome for anything past that.
  5. We aim to be inclusive of most kinks. Respect boundaries. We will not judge, but there are some guidelines to follow. See below for notes on kinks. Do NOT post illegal content.
  6. You MUST be 18 or older to join this chat.
    • Mods reserve the right to verify your age with a state-issued ID. If we request verification, we will conduct verification through a secret chat, where you can block screenshots from being made and delete the image, after.

Guidelines on various kinks and sensitive topics…

The LI Furs community is large, and in the NSFW chat, we aim to provide a space for people to enjoy all flavors of spicy. It is pretty much impossible for 400+ furs to agree on anything, and the mods are, amazingly, just humans. We may make mistakes. That being said, allowing all sorts of expression, and a chance to scratch strange itches is important to this chat – and the fandom, as a whole. All guidelines here are subjective and moderation on them is final.

Above all else: READ THE ROOM. If multiple people have an issue with a post, it may be best to ensure it is censored (spoiler’d in the post settings when sending an image or video) or not posted at all. If you are ever unsure, consider holding off posting, or reach out to a mod for more information.

Kinks - General

  1. Kinks that generally fall under the umbrella of “vanilla” are okay to post.
    • This includes things such as fellatio as well as normal anal and vaginal penetration. Single penetration, not double or other variations on the basic kink.
  2. What constitutes “vanilla” and “extreme” can be subjective, however read the room.
    • Some might consider footplay to be more “extreme”, while for others, being tied up might be considered more “vanilla”. Again, read the room to see if what you want to post might be considered on the extreme side of things.
    • Some kinks are widely considered extreme (e.g. watersports/piss play, hard impact play), and it is strongly advised to spoiler/censor with a content warning (e.g. CW: Watersports) in the caption.
    • If you aren’t sure if something may be too extreme, reach out to a mod and we can advise you appropriately.
  3. Consistently abusing the rules or attempting to circumvent them in any way will result in your image posting privileges being revoked.
  4. There is a blanket ban on scat, emetophilia (vomit), bloodplay.

Feral

Feral is defined as furry characters that do not possess human physical characteristics.

  1. Art of ferals needs to clearly depict via context understood consent between the characters with ZERO ambiguity. Feral art will be permitted providing the characters pass the Jack Harkness Test and the content isn’t overly extreme. The Harkness test has 3 criteria to be passed.
    • Does this character have human intelligence (or greater)?
    • Can it talk or otherwise communicate with language?
    • Is it mature for its species?
  2. The characters should look like they are enjoying themselves. Depiction of hurtful, scared, or uncomfortable characters is considered too extreme.
  3. The characters involved should be of appropriate age for their depicted species to engage in sexual activities (criteria 3 of the Harkness Test).
    • For fictitious species such as Pokémon, when portrayed as feral, must be conventionally understood as of their correct age (e.g. baby Pokémon would be a no-go), and not drawn in a manner that suggests otherwise.
  4. Do NOT rely on lore to justify or attempt to otherwise circumvent the above rules. We do not care if it’s “actually a super-intelligent space wolf”; if someone without that knowledge would question the consent, don’t post it.
  5. Do not circumvent or abuse the rules to justify posting content that makes others uncomfortable.

Cub/ABDL/Babyfur

ABDL is defined as CONSENTING CHARACTERS played by ACTUAL ADULTS in which their CHARACTER(S) are depicted as an Adult Baby (AB) and/or wearing a diaper (DL), engaging in acts or enjoying clothing/accessories traditionally associated with childhood. This is completely acceptable. It might benefit from spoilering if particularly exaggerating things that might ick others (e.g. CW: ABDL, wet, snoofing, penetration)

BABYFUR is the same foundation as above, but with characters depicted as youthful. This is also fine without spoilers IF the posts are wholesome and lack sexual context. If they exaggerate things that might ick others (dripping wet, etc) please spoiler them with a content warning (e.g. CW: Babyfur, dripping). No scat is allowed for any kink, including this one.

CUB is defined as CONSENTING CHARACTERS played by ACTUAL ADULTS in which their CHARACTER(S) are depicted as a juvenile for their species, engaging in sexual acts. In these situations, the character is young and would not be allowed to be posted in our chats.

  1. Art depicting cubs or babyfur characters engaging in sexual activities with others of ANY age is not permitted.
  2. Wholesome art depicting babyfurs naked during changing would be spoilered as (CW: Babyfur, changing) provided the context of the artwork does not overly emphasize the character’s genitals or involve sexual connotations like plugs.
  3. Pokémon, or other fictitious species will be conventionally understood as their canon age unless VERY much aged up.
    • Example: a baby pokemon like Riolu shown as half the height to a Lucario would be considered cub, and thus not allowed to be posted if the content is sexual as described above.
  4. Do NOT rely on lore to justify or attempt to otherwise circumvent the above rules. We do not care if it’s “actually a super-intelligent 1,000,000 year-old space wolf… that looks like a toddler.” If someone without that knowledge would question the age and ability to consent, don’t post it.
  5. Do not circumvent or abuse the rules to justify posting content that makes otherwise uncomfortable.

Kinks generally recognized as “Extreme”

As mentioned, kinks typically are subjective, and what one considers “extreme” might be considered as “tame” or “vanilla” by others.

Extreme content is defined as images, ideas, or desires NOT shared by large groups of furries, and can include topics such as scat, underage/cub, gore, etc…

  1. It cannot be emphasized enough - READ THE ROOM (and these guidelines) to get an idea of what kinks are acceptable to post, what might need to be censored with a spoiler, and what shouldn’t be posted.
  2. If posting extreme content, it should be spoiler tagged, ideally with a content warning (e.g. CW: Watersports)
  3. Extreme content that will cause the FBI to show up should not be posted or sent to mods.
  4. We rely on reports to remove extreme content. Mods cannot watch the chat 24/7. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.
  5. Kink shaming will NOT be tolerated. We have different interests and THAT IS OK. If it isn’t your flavor, scroll past.
    • Kink Shaming is defined as the action or practice of mocking, criticizing, or stigmatizing someone for engaging in or being included to sexual practices regarded as unconventional.
